It is with some satisfaction that I see my three publications will all be available as ebooks next Tuesday. Being available means they will be distributed by Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and others - though not yet, I’m afraid, by Amazon - as well as through Smashwords’ own store, where they are already on sale at a discount, either as pre-sales or by means of a coupon code.

I would not have got this far without the input and encouragement of Smashwords’ founder Mark Coker, first and foremost his free Style Guide, which offers careful step-by-step instructions as to how to to create, format and publish an ebook. I am at the moment studying his marketing and ‘secrets to success’ tips.

I have also got to thank the Covid-19 lockdown which has made it imposible for me to seek out distractions or other excuses for procrastination. The chances are that I would have absolutely nothing better to do than to get on preparing these works for publication, and so: here they are.

Thirdly, for effective distribution a decent book cover is absolutely essential and, after trying and failing myself, I turned to local graphic designer Paco Quirosa for help. He is so far the only one who has made any money out of this project, but not much. Otherwise, I have received a lot of free help from friends who have critically read my manuscripts, and their contribution is acknowledged in each of the relevant works.
